When 3 guests travel together in the same one-bedroom suite, the 3rd guest will usually be eligible for reduced fares.

On all ships, only certain suites can accommodate a 3rd guest. These are indicated with a triangle symbol on the ship’s deck plan.

To accommodate 4 or more passengers in one suite, it will be necessary to book an upper suite in either a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom configuration. In such cases, the 3rd, 4th guests will typically receive reduced fares, though exceptions may apply.

To qualify for child fares, children must be booked as 3rd, 4th guests in a suite. The 1st and 2nd guests are not eligible for any fare reductions, regardless of their age.

Is there a fare reduction for 3rd or 4th guests, or for children, traveling together in the same suite?

Our industry-leading Door-to-Door All-Inclusive fare is the most comprehensive, including: private executive transfers from home; international flights; airport/ship transfers.

The flexible Port-to-Port All-Inclusive fare is perfect if you prefer to handle your pre and post-cruise flight and transfer arrangements yourself..

Both the Door-to-Door and Port-to-Port fares are fully refundable until 150 days before the sail date.

The non-refundable Essential fare is our most affordable option, ideal for those able to travel on shorter notice. This fare includes all shipboard features. Shore excursions are included on Expedition voyages but are not included on Ocean voyages, where they can be purchased on board.

What are the differences between fare types?

If you need to change you need to change your flight arrangements after booking, we will do all we can to find suitable alternate flights. Please note, however, that once flights have been assigned, any changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

Can I change my flight arrangements after booking?

While we are pleased to make flight arrangements from a preferred airport/city, if the departure gateway is not included in our Door-to-Door Air Programme, this will be considered a deviation, and promotional airfares are no longer be guaranteed. Availability and costs for the deviation will be checked live. Should you accept the new gateway and flight itinerary, any additional costs will be confirmed and added to your booking.

What if my preferred departure city is not part of Silversea's Door-to-Door Air Programme?

Upon selecting the Door-to-Door fare from the options above, you will be prompted to select your departure city. After completing the payment process, you will receive an email recapping all details. Your travel professional will then contact you to finalize your flight arrangements.

How do I select/book my flights?

. Please note that the Essential fare must be paid in full at time of booking and is non-refundable. 

How do I make my deposit and final payment?

To reserve multiple suites, it will be necessary to make a separate reservation for each suite or send a request to our Reservation Team.

To reserve a two-bedroom upper suite, your travel professional will explore the available options and make the necessary arrangements accordingly. Upper suite configurations are limited to a maximum of two bedrooms.

How do I book more than one suite, or a two-bedroom suite?

How do I choose my suite's location?

Yes, you can change your suite after booking, depending on availability. Please note that any cost adjustment, whether an increase or decrease, will be based on the current fares available at the time of the requested change.

Can I change my suite category after my booking has been made?

The comfort and enjoyment of every guest is paramount to us. To ensure a pleasant and safe environment for all, smoking is prohibited in most public areas and in all guest suites/balconies. Cigarette, e-cigarette, cigar, pipe and vaporizer smoking is permitted in the Connoisseur’s Corner on board all ships, as well as in specifically designated areas as noted below:

Is smoking allowed onboard?

We will gladly hold your preferred suite, with a fare guarantee, for up to 7 days to leave you all the time you need to decide. In the next few days you will also receive a follow-up call from our reservations team to answer any questions and support you in the tailoring of your journey.

I need more time to decide; what are my options?

Yes. Certain one-bedroom suites can accommodate a 3rd guest. A third guest can be accommodated on a sofa bed or an inflatable bed (suites with sofa beds are indicated with a triangle on the ship’s deck plan). In case of no availability, please inquire with your travel professional.

To accommodate more than 3 guests it will be necessary to either book two separate suites, or an upper suite configured in a two bedroom configuration, which can accommodate up to 6 guests. Please note that these upper suite configurations are limited to a maximum of two bedrooms.

Can I travel with more than two guests in the same suite? What is the limit?

Yes. All ships offer suites equipped for wheelchair accessibility. These suites are marked with the wheelchair symbol on each ship’s Deck Plan for easy identification.

These suites are specially designed for guests who require mobility assistance and equipped with wider entrance doors and appropriate paths of travel to accommodate wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility equipment.

Are wheelchair accessible suites available?

To reserve your cruise with either our Door-to-Door or Port-to-Port fares, a 15% deposit (20% for DACH markets) of your total cruise fare is required within 7 days of booking, or sooner, depending on voyage and time of booking.

Full payment is due no later than 120 days (30 days for DACH markets) prior to departure; your reservation is guaranteed only when paid in full. All reservations are subject to cancellation if payment(s) are not received by the due date.

Reservations made within 120 days (30 days for DACH markets) require full payment within 7 days of booking, or sooner as specified by Silversea.

To reserve an Essential fare, your payment is required at time of booking.

Yes, it is generally possible to change your information after booking. Please keep in mind that there may be restrictions to this, starting 30 days prior to sailing. Some changes may be subject to additional fees, such as name adjustments on air tickets.

Can I change my Guest Information after booking?

You can view your Venetian Society number in your MySilversea profile.

The Venetian Society is our loyalty recognition programme for returning guests. Your membership begins automatically following completion of your first voyage. Rewards include special savings, benefits and privileges that increase the more you travel with us. Venetian Society (VS) Days are accumulated on each voyage (1 VS Day per day sailed) - including exclusive savings on designated Venetian Society cruises.

Where can I find my Venetian Society number?

All cruise fares (Door-to-Door, Port-to-Port, Essential) include: suite accommodations with butler service; onboard meals and entertainment; 24-hour in-suite dining; all beverages including select wines, champagnes, spirits, soft drinks, tea and coffee and filtered/bottled water; onboard gratuities (excluding spa); unlimited Wi-Fi.

Door-to-Door and Port-to-Port fares also include 1 shore excursion per person, per port, per day (Essential fare features shipboard inclusions, but shore excursions are only included on Expedition voyages.)

Not included in your cruise fare are charges for: selected shore excursions; meals ashore; accommodations ashore; specialty restaurants onboard, eg. La Dame, Seishin (Silver Spirit only), and Kaiseki (Muse and Nova class ships); spa/beauty treatments and personal fitness instruction; medical care; casino gaming; laundry and/or valet services; shopping at onboard boutiques; and premium wines, spirits and champagnes, as well as cigarettes and cigars (some premium selections and cigarettes/cigars not available at all times). Champagne and caviar is not offered on board Silver Origin.

Will I have expenses to pay onboard?

If you have dual citizenship you must use the appropriate passport when entering or exiting a country where you hold citizenship. Your passports must also be valid for at least six months beyond the disembarkation date. It is important to check with your immigration authority to verify current immigration policies, as these policies are subject to change.

What if I have dual citizenship?

Sometimes the remote and remarkable needs a bit of preparation. In order to get the best out of your expedition voyage, Silversea will make available all necessary equipment and gear needed so you can get the best out of your trip. This includes: wetsuit and snorkeling gear when on snorkeling voyages, outer wear and boots* for Antarctica and a branded Silversea parka (yours to keep) when required by the itinerary. That’s not all—we’ll even throw in a Silversea backpack and water bottle for you to take home!

* Some equipment needed for Antarctica must be rented at a supplementary cost. This excludes Antarctica Bridge sailings, which are 100% all-inclusive.

Expedition Gear

Silversea will offer complimentary transfers between the airport, the hotel and the ship (and vice versa) to all guests using the Silversea Air offer.

All expedition activities as well as shore excursions on expedition cruises form part of our all-inclusive offer (except in the embarking and disembarking port and where noted).
On expedition cruises, the expedition activities such as Zodiac cruising, hiking, snorkeling and kayaking do not require pre-booking. The expedition activities are executed by Silversea Expedition Team and are weather and sea condition dependent. Precise details will be provided onboard by our experts to ensure your upmost safety and enjoyment at all times.
On selected expeditions, Silversea may offer shore excursions in partnership with trusted local tour operators, which involve local transportation, service and use of local venues, for which the pre-booking is required. These excursions may be subject to minimum and maximum participation levels to operate based on venue capacity or other restrictions outside of Silversea’s control. These shore excursions are bookable via MySilversea on a “first come first served” basis so it is recommended to reserve your priority of choice as soon as possible. The deadline for booking in your MySilversea account is two days prior to the sailing date.

In order to streamline the embarkation and/or disembarkation procedure, Silversea will provide in-country or group space flights as required by the itinerary. Cruises with embarkation or disembarkation in Puerto Williams, Longyearben, Kangerlussuaq, Walvis Bay, Nuuk and other ports may be included in this, as outlined in the booking confirmations.

In-country/group flights only include Economy baggage allowance: one checked baggage of 23 kg (50 lb) per person.

Charter/Group flights

Silversea may offer a pre-cruise hotel night(s) prior to embarking, based on the needs of your itinerary and/or depending on the availability and flight schedule out of a specific city.

The air promotion is only available to the first and second full-fare paying guests in a suite. 

In case the booking includes more than two guests, they will need to purchase their roundtrip business class airfare.

International flights - Business class

The first shore excursion booked in a single day / port, among the shore excursions bookable and available within the Program, will be considered included, while additional excursions will be charged at full fare. The Shore Excursion Program does not apply in the embarking and disembarking port.

If Silversea cancels a voyage, or delays embarkation by three (3) days or more and you elect not to sail on the delayed voyage or a substitute voyage we offer, you can obtain a refund or a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) for the amount paid.
